Bougt this to keep my keys dry while scuba diving. So far I have taken it to 50ft and it worked exactly as expected, water tight, no leaks. Great little box and amazon as a great price.

Kept my stuff perfectly dry while swimming and snorkeling. Just enough space for my car keys, some cash and credit cards. Some smaller phones might fit in there, but be sure to check the box's dimensions before purchase.

I purchased the OtterBox 1000 to keep some spare medicine, bandages, alcohol prep pads, lemonade flavoring packets, teabags, and miscellaneous items. It keeps them fresh and safe, much more so than the Altoids mint tin I was using previously. It is about the same size internally as that tin, in fact.
It is well built and appears waterproof based on a kitchen sink test. The clip slides off. I'm not certain why, as I can imagine it slipping into the water in not too unusual circumstances (e.g., on a boat where you're more likely to need a waterproof container). I don't have much use for the lanyard but could see its usefulness if you were to carry around the neck.
It is smaller than I'd anticipated, but that's neither good nor bad.

Just received my otterbox and I LOVE it! The color looks exactly as it did in the photo. It is very durable and the perfect size to hold my keys and a few books of matches while I am camping. The only down side to the product is that it is a little tough to open, but this can be a good thing as well because it will be harder for things to get in.

Before i bought this item i made sure that my two phones would fit in it (Samsung mythic, Blackberry Curve). The specs showed that both of my phones could fit in one (not together, but in their own case). But when my boxes arrived i tried to fit them in and neither one fit. Absolutely frustrating. So to be safe i would order the next size up.
