Product Description One of the few downsides to digital photography is the delicate nature of these advanced electronics. Water, dirt, dust and other environmental contaminants can wreak havoc with expensive gadgets, and often, outdoor adventures are never preserved in photos because our cameras simply can't handle the exposure. Custom-fitted waterproof cases are available, but they are bulky, heavy and usually cost well over a hundred dollars. So how can the casual photographer keep their camera clean and safe without spending a fortune? The answer is the My Aqua Case! The My Aqua Case 6810 is an all-weather vinyl case for compact digital cameras is totally waterproof up to 98 feet (30 meters) deep!Constructed from thick, high-grade vinyl, the My Aqua Case is designed to keep your camera clean and moisture-free in almost any environment. The patented "Slide & Snap" closure system provides two levels of protection to keep your case completely watertight, while "U" shaped plastic panels interlock allowing you to maintain complete control over all your camera's functions. Best of all, the My Aqua Case is extremely lightweight and can be tucked away in a pocket, knapsack, or purse making it by far the most convenient option for complete all-weather protection for your digital camera, not to mention the most affordable! Whether you're headed to the beach, water-park, ski slopes, river rapids or hiking trails, the My Aqua Case 6810 is guaranteed to keep your camera clean an

Tested twice in 10' and 50'. June 21, 2010 James R. Lehr Got this for my dad on father's day. He took it to his open water certification where he left the included cardboard camera in the case for multiple dives. He had a bottom depth of about 50' and the piece of cardboard was bone dry after multiple dives. When he got home we tried a real camera(Canon IXUS 900 titanium-- my camera) and sunk it at the bottom of the pool. After letting it set for hours we removed the case and took the camera out. The inside of the case was completely dry and camera was able to take a few pictures under water without any hassle. Just remember to turn the flash OFF when taking pictures and also test the case a few times with the included cardboard camera.
Great for the price but limited functionality. June 16, 2010 Juliana Smith (Houston, TX, USA) I can't complain since this product is so inexpensive compared to the $200+ cannon underwater case that is specifically for my camera but you do have to recognize if you buy this product you are basically buying a waterproof plastic bag without the versatility. This product did keep my camera dry in both the ocean and the pool but it is hard to turn the camera on/off through the case and if the flash goes off (auto settings) it creates a funny glare in the picture. The quality of the pictures is akin to a disposable underwater camera and for about the same price, why not get this reuseable case?
Aqua Storage Case 6810 April 2, 2010 Michael R. Neal (SoCal USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The case is I think a little over priced. The Nikon camera when inserted is very difficult to use, the camera buttons are to close to the hard sealing trim to get to , but the case dose make great waterproof travel case.
Great for the price...not perfect overall February 1, 2010 R. wells 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Bought it for a Costa Rican vacation. I chose this over a newer waterproof point and shoot because of the price. It worked well, although the lens cover is plastic and upon inspection that is noticable in pictures. The other downside is that camera buttons and switches are difficult to use. Knobs/ wheels are impossible. More than once, I got in the water and realized I was on movie mode, not auto. Once in the water its impossible to open it up without exposing the camera to water. The upsides are many, begining with the price...about 10% of an underwater camera. It also offers great protection against drops. I would not have a problem recommending it to anyone. - very good product
