 Perfect case for the Optio W80 March 26, 2010

Ditto to all previous reviews; the basis upon which I bought this case versus cheaper alternatives.
One unexpected and previously unmentioned design feature I really like is the magnetic closure. I got the W80 to take on the trail in all weather conditions, and I sometimes want to photograph wildlife without first making startling noises. You don't get a velcro "rip" or unsnapping noise when you take your camera out of this case.
I have the W80 settings for noiseless operation, and with this very thoughful case design feature from Pentax, use of my camera doesn't entail noise that would otherwise have ruined the photo opportunity, sometimes for multiple images.
They have designed this case to be fully congruent with the W80 design and usage niche; water resistant, outback use, etc. As an owner of two Pentax film camera bodies and two Pentax DSLR's, this level of attention to design from Pentax does not surprise me.
For anyone who has a W80, I highly recommend this case.

As somebody else posted, a W80 fits perfectly in this case. I don't know why Pentax only seems to list it as fitting a W60. It is a nice compact case that is just big enough for the camera itself, with no accessories.

I purchased this to go with my new Pentax Optio W80 and it fits it perfect;y, since that camera's dimensions are the same as the Optio W60. It even has room to keep a spare battery and an extra SD card if needed. It fits very nicely on your belt to have your camera be very handy to get at.

Does just what it is supposed to do. Very slick case. Works great and is not any bigger than it needs to be. Perfect!
