The descriptive copy on the Amazon site indicates that this carrying case fits the Samsung SE-S084 DVD writer. In fact, the DVD writer is square, and the case is rectangular, leaving too much room inside for the DVD writer to move around. Although I like the material and the quality, I was under the (mistaken) impression that this was a closer fit.

I purchased it for my external SAMSUNG DVD writer and it turned out to be perfect.

Excellent. Robust. Reliable. The supplied usb cable has a single mini-usb connector for the drive-end and a double normal-usb connector end for the computer - only one is really needed for data xfer (the outlying one gives an extra power plug capability for older laptops)

The DVD carrying case was not immediately in stock but this was not a problem. The product showed up and I am pleased with my purchase.

Excellent quality, way small, and works well. I am not fond of the bundled Nero software but a custom install throttled it down.
