Excellent product July 10, 2010 Jess (Houston, TX) My husband and I bought this case for a snorkeling trip during our honeymoon. It serves the purpose for our digital camera, but what's even more amazing is that we ended up using it everyday everywhere even when we were "above" water. We put our hotel key card, credit card, and cash inside and walking around the beach, hotel pool and even to dinners. It's so convenient because we can just carry everything we need with us and get inside the water anytime we want.
Keeps my camera dry and produces wonderful underwater images May 30, 2010 P. D. Nguyen (Houston) I brought this to Schlitterbahn (water theme park) last week to takes photos and record the trip. I own a Sony TX7, and it has an internal/folding lens, similar to the camera in the product picture. It comes with a couple of desiccant packs so you don't have to buy more until later on, unless you plan to use this very often. Photos come out crystal clear, as if it wasn't in a case at all. Of course I kept the case as close to the camera lens as possible to minimize any reflecting light that might've gotten in the way. Also made sure that no water droplets were in front of the lens, I would just dip the case into water and this would solve the problem. Recording has the same quality; very clear as long as the case wasn't bulging out in front of the lens. Sound quality is very good as well. It picks up the sound of the case when you move it around a lot; sounds like a wet rubber rain coat. My camera is all touchscreen, so operation was very easy. I couldn't zoom in and out but that didn't bother me at all. For those that have dials on your camera, you're probably out of luck changing it while it's in the case. Awesome product, will be using it many more times over summer
Works as advertised August 13, 2009 B. Erickson (Chico, CA USA) I took this case to Southeast Asia in September 2009 with my Nokia N82 Phone with 5 MP Camera and Xenon Flash! camera phone. I wanted some way to take photos and not need to worry about the monsoons I expected to encounter. I tested the case in the sink beforehand and no water got inside. The phone was more difficult to use, but that was expected. Overall, it worked very well on the trip. I took photos and video in monsoon rains, in rivers, in the Indian Ocean, and in a flood in Cambodia. You must be careful to make sure it seals fully to keep the water out. Don't forget the included pack of desiccant, which goes inside to absorb any stray water. I forgot to bring the desiccant and I was forced to dry it every night due to the humidity. For any other N82 users: I flipped the camera lens switch on, quit the camera app, then changed the right stand-by hot key to "Camera". It will require three button presses to get to camera mode with unlock and the hot key. You could continue to use the lens switch, but I don't like the idea of scratching up the case material since the switch is so close to the lens.
Protected my Flip Video Ultra HD August 9, 2009 Albert (Maryland) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3Q4SPWPQ0W40R I bought this case so I could protect my new Flip Video Ultra HD (2nd generation) camera from the water and sand when I went to the beach. It did take me some time to put the camera inside the case, but once securely in, I was able to operate the power, and record/stop buttons without any issues. The attached strap also keeps the case securely attached to your wrist or neck. I was pleased with the outcome and felt confident getting in the ocean, etc. The one thing I did not do however, was completely submerge the case in the water. I may test that out with an older camera I have before I try that with my new flip. Overall, I am very pleased with the case and would recommend it.
AquaPac Keeps it Dry July 21, 2009 H. Port 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this and 2 others so we could use our cannon powershot and flip vidoe camera in Mexico. It worked great. I put our powershot in the pack and gingerly took it out in the ocean and after a few minutes realized it was keep the camera completely dry. It also takes very clear pictures through the plastic. On almost all the pictures you couldn't even tell it was in the bag! The only draw back I have is that sometimes when the lens would extend from the camera body when you would turn the camera on it would push up agains the plastic of the bag and cause the camera to error because it couldn't fully extend. I quickly learned that if you made sure the camera wasn't all the way at to the side of the bag it would funtion just fine. It was nice, cost effective, way to take pictures in a wet environment. We even pushed the bag underwater and took a some pictures!
